UUID Generator
Generate unique UUID v4 identifiers in one click and copy as many as you need.
Everything runs in your browser. Your data is never sent to a server.
What does the UUID Generator tool do?
A UUID (Universally Unique Identifier) is a 128-bit value that practically never collides. This tool generates random version 4 UUIDs using your browser's cryptographic random number generator.
What is it for?
- Giving database records identifiers that can't be guessed
- Creating test data and sample records
- Generating tenant or request IDs in multi-tenant systems
Things to keep in mind
- A UUID is unpredictable but not secret; it doesn't replace permission checks.
- If index order by insertion time matters, consider time-based UUIDv7.
