Cantürk Çelikok

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 7 November 2026

This policy explains what personal data is processed when you visit canturkcelikok.com (the "site") or contact me through it, why, and what rights you have. It is written to meet Türkiye's Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK) and, for visitors in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Who is responsible for your data

The data controller is Cantürk Çelikok, a freelance software developer based in Ankara, Türkiye.

I don't have a separate data protection officer; you can reach me directly at the address above.

2. What data I process

  • Contact form and emails: your name, email address, phone number if you give it, company name if you give it, your message, and any project estimate you attach from the pricing calculator.
  • Security data: IP address, browser user agent and request times, used to protect the site from spam, abuse and automated attacks.
  • Anonymous usage statistics: the page visited, the referring site and the screen width. No cookies are used for this. A daily visitor count is made from a one-way hash of the IP address and browser that changes every day and can't be traced back to you. If your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, nothing is recorded.
  • Free tools: the developer tools and the policy generator run entirely in your browser, and what you type is not sent to me. Text you submit to AI Check is analysed on this site's server and is neither stored nor shared with any third party.

3. Why I process it and on what legal basis

  • Replying to your enquiry and preparing a quote: steps taken at your request before a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b); KVKK Art. 5(2)(c)).
  • Carrying out a contract if we work together (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b); KVKK Art. 5(2)(c)).
  • Keeping the site secure and running: my legitimate interest in protecting the site and its visitors (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f); KVKK Art. 5(2)(f)).
  • Legal obligations such as tax and commercial record keeping (GDPR Art. 6(1)(c); KVKK Art. 5(2)(ç)).

4. Who receives your data

I don't sell your data or share it for advertising. It is only shared with:

  • my hosting provider (Hostinger), which stores the site and its database;
  • my email provider, when we exchange emails;
  • public authorities, where the law requires it.

The site does not use third-party analytics, advertising pixels or social media trackers.

5. International transfers

I am based in Türkiye, so if you write to me from the EEA or the UK your data is processed in Türkiye. My hosting provider may store data in data centres outside Türkiye. Where a transfer needs a safeguard under the GDPR or KVKK Article 9, it relies on the provider's standard contractual clauses or another mechanism the law allows.

6. How long I keep it

  • Contact requests: 2 years after the request is closed.
  • Security logs: 6 months.
  • If we sign a contract, related records are kept for 10 years as required by the Turkish Commercial Code and Tax Procedure Law.
  • Anonymous statistics contain no personal data and may be kept indefinitely.

7. Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its processing, and, where processing is based on a contract or consent, to receive it in a portable format. Under KVKK Article 11 you can also ask whether your data is processed, why, and who it has been shared with.

To use these rights, email bilgi@canturkcelikok.com. I reply within 30 days at the latest. If you're not satisfied, you can complain to the Turkish Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK) or to the data protection authority in your country.

8. Cookies

The site only uses cookies that are strictly necessary for security and, for the site owner, signing in to the admin panel. Details are in the cookie policy.

9. Changes

If this policy changes, the new version is published on this page with a new date. For significant changes that affect you, I'll let you know if I have your contact details.

This is an English version provided for convenience. The Turkish version is the legally binding text where Turkish law applies.
