A POS that puts the till, kitchen and online orders on one screen
When an order gets lost during the rush, the cost is a waiting customer and wasted food. If the till, the kitchen and online orders run on separate systems or on paper, those losses are unavoidable.
I built Ayda to solve exactly that: an order taken at the till lands on the kitchen display instantly, online orders join the same flow, and staff sign in with a PIN in seconds. I designed the sync layer from scratch to keep kitchen display updates under 400 ms.
What you get
Till screen
Table and takeaway orders, taking payments and splitting bills.
Kitchen display
Orders listed live in preparation order, with a 'ready' signal.
Online orders
QR menu and web orders flow straight to the till.
Staff sign-in
Fast PIN sign-in and a per-staff activity log.
Menu management
Update products, prices and stock status in one place.
End-of-day reports
Sales, product and staff summaries.
Why real time matters
When the kitchen display updates a few seconds late, the cook works from an incomplete list. That's why screens talk over a persistent connection (WebSocket); if the connection drops, the screen says so clearly and fills in missed orders when it reconnects.
Staff should learn it in minutes
Restaurant staff change often and there's no time for training during the rush. I design the interface with large touch targets, few screens and status colours you understand at a glance.
How we work
- 01
Observing the floor
We watch how an order travels from table to kitchen on site and design the screens around it.
- 02
Till and kitchen
The core order flow and kitchen display ship in the first release.
- 03
Online orders and payments
QR menu, online ordering and payment integrations are added.
- 04
On-site setup
Devices are installed and staff move over after a short training.

Estimate your own scopeFrequently asked questions
- Will it work with our existing cash register or card terminal?
- It depends on whether the device supports integration. I review your model on the first call.
- What happens if the internet goes down?
- If the till and kitchen share a local network, the core order flow can be designed to work offline; online orders sync once the connection returns.
- Can it be used across several branches?
- Yes. Branches can share one menu and be reported separately.
