What does the Slug Generator tool do?
A slug is the readable part of a page address (for example /blog/is-stack-overflow-dead). A good slug is short, lowercase, hyphen-separated and free of special characters. This tool converts Turkish letters such as ş, ğ, ı, ü, ö and ç to their plain equivalents.
What is it for?
- Creating an address from a blog post or product title
- Making file names safe for servers
Things to keep in mind
- If you change the slug of a live page, add a 301 redirect from the old address to the new one.
